Parents Address To WAEC Not To Appropriate Results




Some parents in Nasarawa Accompaniment on Tuesday addressed to WAEC to abolish its blackmail to abstain the after-effects of acceptance who sat for the May/June examinations in 19 states for non-payment of registration fees.


The News Agency of Nigeria, letters that the board in a columnist account on July 27 said that 19 states owed N4bn registration fees for their acceptance who sat for the May/June 2015 examination.

The board threatened not to absolution the students’ after-effects over the indebtedness.
However some parents in Keffi Local Government told NAN that it would be amiss if WAEC withheld the students’ after-effects over debts owed by their accompaniment governments.

They addressed to WAEC to abolish its accommodation as it would affect the acceptance abnormally because the accent of apprenticeship to the socio-economic development of the country.

A parent, Mr Thomas Nico, apprenticed WAEC to broadcast the account of the 19 afflicted states and yield acknowledged activity adjoin them instead of denial the students’ results.

Nico said, “It surprises me to apprehend from newspapers, that WAEC is aggressive to abstain the after-effects of acceptance in 19 states that sat for the May/June 2015 WASSCE over non-payment of candidates’ allotment fees by their accompaniment governments.

“When we attending at this issue, it is not the accountability of the students. What WAEC should do is to broadcast the account of the afflicted states and yield acknowledged activity adjoin them to retrieve their money.

“The acceptance should not be fabricated victims by denial their results.

“I wish to address to WAEC not to abstain the after-effects of acceptance in these afflicted states because denial their after-effects will appropriately affect their affairs of accepting acceptance into assorted academy of college learning.”

He added addressed to the afflicted governments to account the registration fees of their candidates, instead of just paying lip-service to the apprenticeship and abundance of their students.

Another parent, Mrs Jacinta Abraham, said if the after-effects were not released, it would affect the accepted of apprenticeship in the afflicted states.

“I wish to appeal with WAEC not to abstain the after-effects of acceptance because it will not alone affect the students’ acceptance into tertiary institutions but it will aswell affect the accepted of education.

“WAEC should broadcast the account of the afflicted states so as to betrayal the accompaniment governors that pay lip-service to the apprenticeship of their citizens in the absorption of accord and civic development.

While addition parent, Malam Abdul Umar appealed to the governors of the afflicted states to actively account the registration fees of their candidates in the absorption of the apprenticeship sector.

NAN letters that WAEC on July 27 said it could not agreement the absolution of 2015 May/June WASSCE after-effects of candidates in 19 states that were accountable to it.
