The complete list of the 2015 Nigerian Outstanding Student Choice Awards of Recognition (OSCAR) nominations for students of the prestigious University of Lagos, Nigeria's foremost social campus, has been released.
Nigerian Voice reliably gathered that the UNILAG is the first among over 118 participating institutions in the country to submit full list of nominees for the Nigerian Oscar.
Local editions of Nigerian Oscar had held in Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun State, and Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho, Oyo State last year while the international preliminary for this year's event was held at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
The award is an initiative of ME! Ideas, otherwise known as Oscar Nigeria, organisers of the Nigerian Citizen Awards and the Nigerian Celebrity Awards.
According to the Senior Communication Officer of ME! Ideas, Alex Aderemi Ojekunle, nominations for other institutions will be released soon.
Aderemi reiterated the committment of ME! Ideas to organize the most credible award program in Nigeria ever, saying the body is following the steps of the organiser of the Nigeria Media Merit Awards.
Nigerian Oscar is the biggest student event in Nigeria.
