VIP Unveils Mahindra Two-Wheelers

VIP Merchandise Enterprises Ltd, representatives of Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd in Nigeria, has launched the Mahindra range of motorcycles in the Nigeria.

The launch was attended by Mahindra officials from India, captains of industries, the Indian High Commission and some traditional rulers. Speaking at the occasion, Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd Head of Exports, Mr. Sandeep Kumar Singh, noted that the Mahindra Two Wheelers were made for Nigeria and African.

“They were carefully designed to meet the customers’ needs as far as two wheelers are concerned,” he said. According to Mr. Singh, the Mahindra Two Wheelers are very strong, durable, reliable, easy to maintain with affordable and available spare parts.

Compared to other motorcycles in the market, he said, there are 17 additional features in the new motorbike.

For now, he said the Mahindra two-wheelers, Arro, which comes in different variant, is being introduced while the other models from the company will be joining later.

Some of the unique features of the Mahindra Arro motorbike include the 110cc Mci 5 advanced engine, double cradle chassis as against one by other makers; big round headlamp, longer comfortable seat and bigger wheels.

Other include, strong high capacity rear suspension, bigger fuel tank with petrol tank pad, stylish LED tail lamp, and twin-pod modern speedometer console.

Mr. Singh further  pointed out that the customers stand to gain by using the Mahindra bike because it is a product of careful research by Mahindra. “It is a very rugged bike being offered at a very affordable price,” he said.

He also explained that their delayed arrival into the Nigerian market was because they wanted the best for their Nigerian customers.

He said: “The idea of coming late was that we wanted to be sure that the product we are offering to Nigerians are tried and tested.

“That was why we created this product, the Arro. We wanted the riders to graduate to a better bike.” With two plants already in operation in Lagos and Kano, Mr. Singh said that they have trained over 10,000 mechanics to ensure that the customers get the best from their Mahindra Motorcycles.

According to him, Mahindra has the capacity to meet motorcycle needs of Nigerian, promising that they will increase production if demand increases. “Arro covers 60 kilometres with a litre of petrol, which makes it one of the most fuel-efficient bike around at the moment,” he said.
