Adamawa State Govt. Did Not Mark World AIDS Day For The Past Two Years—Patient Laments

A Victim of Acquire Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS in Adamawa state, Abraham Zinas Mamman lambast the statement Government for not holding the world AIDS day which is Yearly being Marked every 1st of December.

Abraham lamented that the state Government has failed to adequately addressed the issues of advocacy which is one of the powerful ways of fighting the scourge.

He blame both the past and present Government for not given much attention to the endemic of HIV that is seriously affecting hundreds of people on daily basis in the state and the Adamawa state Action on the control of Aids (ADSACA) is poorly handle and finance by the state Government.

Mamman who has defeated the scourge of victimization and stigmization and aspiring to be the Chairman of Demsa LGA the forth coming local polls of the state under the banner of People's Democracy Party (PDP) says being HIV patient is normal with retrovival drugs now on ground.

Zinas also call on the Government to support the Agency for the control of aid in fighting the virus.

All effort was made to link up with Government agency proved abortive.
