What's Wrong With This Picture?

She also looks like someone who doesn't often wear makeup or who hasn't worn makeup before.
Makeup is supposed to enhance people's beauty but what happens when it totally transforms the wearer?

I saw this makeup picture circulating online with lots of comments. The comments though divided, has revived a conversation on the essence of makeup. Is Makeup meant to enhance people's beauty or initiate a total transformation?
For me, it can be both depending on the occasion. For a normal Sunday or work look, the makeup can be simple and toned down. For parties and night events, it could be heavy or bright.
Personally, makeup depends on the wearer's mood. If you are fed up with your look, you can get on a new hairstyle and a makeup to transform your look. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Now to the picture above. It's clearly evident that the makeup for the woman is beautiful and transformed her looks. It probably moved her from the 40's age group to early 20's. That's the beauty of Makeup!
She also looks like someone who doesn't often wear makeup or who hasn't worn makeup before.
Makeup is an art and it's supposed to be beautiful so why are some unhappy with this picture?
Don't the makeup artist deserve commendation?
